Liverpool Light Night is Liverpool’s night of arts and culture festival taking place annually in May. Liverpool’s infamous nighttime celebration of culture around the city is returning for a sixth year on Friday 15 May from 4pm until late as the launch event of One Magnificent City. Over 50 city centre organisations keep their galleries, museums and venues open until late, staging around 100 special cultural events for visitors of all ages.
LightNight will continue unlocking the doors of Liverpool’s world-class museums, galleries and heritage sites as the city is illuminated with an spectacular trail of over 100 free events. Enjoy as some of the best venues, large and small, keep their doors open until late.
You, your friends and your family are invited to explore Liverpool. Or follow your own trail of unexpected happenings as the city centre comes to life. The festival is staged across more than 100 organisations taking part so you can enjoy special events at venues including St George’s Hall, Walker Art Gallery, Central Library, The Bluecoat, FACT, Liverpool Cathedral, Camp and Furnace, Constellations and many more.
The festival audience can expect special tours, fascinating exhibitions, a late night ceilidh, street performance, spectacular light projections, live music, open studios, hands-on art workshops, dance and much more.
